Group Corporate Philosophy
The Yamato Group's Group Corporate Philosophy has three components: The Management Philosophy, the Corporate Stance, and the Employee Code of Conduct. The details of these are set out below.

(1) The Management Philosophy sets out the goals of the Yamato Group's business and the direction it should be going in.
(2) The Corporate Stance is what the Yamato Group pledges to do for society and puts into practice constantly.
(3) The Employee Code of Conduct sets out how we all, as Yamato Group employees, should conduct ourselves in our day-to-day activities.

This Group Corporate Philosophy has its roots in Yamato Transport's "Precepts," which were laid down in 1931.

The Yamato Group strives to achieve continual development in tandem with the communities that it serves, and to be a corporate group that the people who work for it are always proud to be part of. To achieve that, all Group employees must share this Corporate Philosophy and give ever-greater emphasis to corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Management Philosophy
The Management Philosophy sets out the objectives of the Group's business activities, indicating the direction in which it should go in the future.
The Yamato Group helps create greater affluence for the society by developing an enhanced parcel delivery service network that forms part of the very fabric of society, creating more convenient and agreeable lifestyle-related services, and developing innovative physical distribution systems.
Corporate Stance
Our Corporate Stance is the thinking that lies at the heart of what the Yamato Group pledges to society, and always puts into practice, in order to translate its Corporate Philosophy into reality.

The Yamato Group pursues profit through fair and honest competition, and aims to be a corporate group that can achieve sustainable development in tandem with the society it serves, by always respecting human rights, observing laws, adhering to the letter and spirit of international rules, and acting in accordance with the highest ethical standards.

Pursuit of customer satisfaction The Yamato Group always strives to deliver customer satisfaction by providing a high-quality service, and doing so with sincerity. This is backed by constant innovation directed at developing new services that bring greater convenience to people's everyday lives.
Respect for human life The Yamato Group gives maximum priority to human life, doing its utmost to ensure safety at all times.
Assurance of a happy working environment The Yamato Group strives to offer a working environment in which all employees can give full play to their independence and spontaneity, in which it is always a pleasure to work, and in which both they and their families can take pride in their work and have realistic hopes for future advancement.
Observance of laws and fair practice The Yamato Group acts at all times in conformity with the laws, with social norms, and with the letter and spirit of international rules, acting with fairness in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
A group trusted by the community The Yamato Group regards itself as a member and integral part of the communities it serves, engaging in corporate activities that have community trust, and encouraging and assisting the self-reliance of the physically challenged.
Promotion of environmental conservation The Yamato Group believes that environmental problems must be addressed by all of humankind in common, and plays its part by making voluntary initiatives to implement vigorous environmental-conservation activities.
Protection of personal information The Yamato Group has voluntarily laid down policies for the handling of personal information and customer information, and does its utmost to ensure its appropriate management and protection.
Good communications and relations, and shared prosperity The Yamato Group communicates extensively with its shareholders, customers, members of local communities, business partners and employees, and strives to ensure harmonious relations with them and shared prosperity.
Assurance of disclosure and accountability The Yamato Group is committed to accurate and rapid information disclosure at all times, aiming to be an "open" corporate group trusted by society.
Response to undesirable activity The Yamato Group shall, in the unlikely event that any situation arises that is contrary to its corporate philosophy, deploy its most senior managers to address the problem personally, investigating its origins, and preventing any recurrence.
