About the donation for
restoration of the areas
affected by the Great East
Japan Earthquake

Message and report from
   the Yamato Group

Every package we deliver also carries hope.

November Report As 2011 draws to a close, our program to help rebuild the fishing and agriculture
industries and restore infrastructure in earthquake and tsunami affected areas continues.
Since April, for every parcel we have delivered, we have donated ¥10 for this purpose.
As of November 30, the Yamato Group has handled 914,257,597 parcels, and
121,019,550 parcels in November alone. The total amount donated to date has reached
¥9,142,575,970 (US$117.07 million*). We would like to take this opportunity to thank
all of the customers who have used our delivery service.

All the funds collected to help support the affected areas are being distributed through
the East Japan Great Earthquake Life, Industry Infrastructure Recovery, and Rebuilding
Relief Fund, administrated by the Yamato Welfare Foundation. Following the
announcement in September of approximately ¥4.1 billion distributed to the first group
of recovery projects and approximately ¥3.3 billion that went to the second group of
recovery projects in October, the Yamato Welfare Foundation will soon conduct a
review committee meeting to determine the third group of recovery projects to receive
relief funds. The outcome of this meeting will be detailed in the January Report.

The first group of recovery projects included the Iwate Prefecture marine products
processing industry. Using funds received from the Yamato Welfare Foundation, Iwate
Prefecture invited business operators engaged in marine recovery to submit production
recovery proposals. On the basis of those proposals, it was decided to provide ¥1.6
billion in relief funds to 107 businesses.

The second group of projects included the Iwate marine industry cooperative facility
restoration project. Here it was decided that 12 fishery cooperatives would receive relief
funding of ¥391.1 million for the purchase and repair of shore docking systems and
cargo cranes at 61 fishing ports. The news release on this is posted on the home page of
Yamato Welfare Foundation.

True to our goal of ''visible, rapid, and highly effective support,'' the recovery and
restoration projects are progressing one step at a time. And we will continue to take
action and keep you updated through this monthly report.
